Graphene oxide, commonly referred to as GO, is an oxide of graphene, and its color is brown-yellow. Common products on the market include powder, sheet and solution. Due to the increase of oxygen-containing functional groups after oxidation, its properties are more active than graphene, various reactions with oxygen-containing functional groups can improved its properties.

Graphene Oxide Composite

Graphene oxide (GO) is a new carbon material with excellent properties and an ideal filler for polymer-based nanocomposites. The particle size of composite materials is widely distributed, ranging from nanometer to micron. The particle size distribution is a key indicator to guide the synthesis. Nanocoulter I's single particle detection, and the unique capability that is not limited to the optical properties of samples, perfectly meets the testing requirements to obtain the complete particle siz.

Sample state: The whole sample was black, and there was clear stratification after a period of rest with obvious graphene flake in the liquid.

Fig. 1 (Sample liquid)

Test process:

1.After 1 minute of ultrasonic treatment, the samples were shaken well with a shaker for 1 minute, and then some samples were filtered with 0.22 μm filter membrane.
2.The filtered filtrate was diluted 100 times with diluent.
3.The filtrate was shaken on the vortex oscillator for 1 min for machine test.

Single particle detection, the test process is stable, with more signal and distribution of different particle sizes.

Test summary:

1.The signal of sample particles is evident and the distribution of large and small particles is uniform.

2. The mean particle size of the samples was 110 nm.
